Dalai Lama.jpg (31720 bytes)     Lhamo Thondup’s mother gave birth to 16 children but only 7 survived. Lhamo was the 9th.  Lhamo won the Noble Peace Prize in 1989. He is 63 years old. As a child he loved animals and could pick up a scorpion without even flinching. When he was being born, two neighbors saw a rainbow and two crows over his roof. Some people think the crows protected him and the rainbow showed his future importance.
